Ideal Indian School was established on May 20^th, 1985 by 62 prominent members of the Indian community in Doha, Qatar. The school is a premier english medium educational institution affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi and approved by the Ministry of Education for the State of Qatar.

At present, the school boasts 4,300 students against a mere 270 at its incorporation. Although the school was originally founded to meet the persistent demands of the Indian community in Qatar for quality education, the school is open to other expatriate & foreign communities as well. Students from over 33 nations reap the benefits of the Indian educational system and co-exist harmoniously with us here at Ideal Indian School.

The school houses four sections, two of which, are divided on the basis of gender, and the other sections , designated to junior & kindergarten students. These wings are specialized in different ways, to cater to the students belonging to them.

Our school also comprises of a house system, where each student, is affiliated with a particular house, named after famous personalities in Indian & world history. Personalities such as Abdul Kalam, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, and Rabindranath Tagore. Students of these houses compete in various extra-curricular activities in the fields of sports, arts, and sciences, representing their houses, and leading them to victory.
