Student Counseling Cell
Student Counseling Cell.

The counsellor has at present become a centre for providing a supportive, friendly and empathetic environment to the students. The main aim of the cell is to make the students self-confident, and to make them feel it is not wrong to have a problem. The counsellor then helps them to solve their problems and equips them to cope up with future difficulties. The cell also caters to academic, behavioural and habitual problems of students.

From simplicity and innocence of childhood one enters into a highly Competitive and different world period, which requires passionate and understanding guidance at the right time. The counsellor recognises this fact and helps the students along the way.

The counsellor also provides tips to regular study habits to reduce anxiety during examinations. The counsellor also administers special counselling sessions for the students of class ten and twelve to develop the concept of self-understanding and to help the students to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Individual reports are also prepared on the basis of aptitude tests conducted by the counsellor and the inclination of students towards various career options is evaluated.

The other concerns of the cell include better development of better student-teacher and child-parent relationships. The counselling cell, therefore, recognises the prime importance of the role of the parents and teachers and their collective effort to make the activities of the cell more successful.
